Be a Reading Star, attend show stopping Special Events, and create magical memories during Weekly Events this summer. Register for the Reading Challenge and Weekly Events between May 2 and June 1 at the library, by calling 309-446-9575, or online.

Reading Challenge
All ages may pick up reading logs beginning on June 3 and turn them in for prizes any time the library is open until July 31.
To be eligible for the grand prize drawings, reading logs must be completed and turned in by Tuesday, July 23.

Out of School Boogie Escape Room (RR)
Recommended for Ages 6-12

Summer vacation is starting, but your license to dance has been locked up! Can you follow the dance combinations around the room and find your license to do the Out of School Boogie? Limited to groups of six. Sign up for a half hour time slot at the library to reserve your group. 

Food Hacks: Popcorn (RR)

Upgrade plain popcorn with seasonings and sweets to make an extra special treat. Watch a film, make a craft, and chat while you eat your snack.

Come read to a specially trained therapy dog from the Peoria Humane Society. Sign up for a 10 minute time slot to guarantee your spot.

Face Painting by the Zoo Lady & the Zoo Crew (NR)

Embrace your theatrical side and help tell a story after the Zoo Lady and her Zoo Crew transform you into a fantastical character with face paint. 

Lights, Camera, Robots! (RR)

Stuffed Animal Sleep Over Story Time (NR)
Wednesday, July 10 6:00-6:30 

Bring a stuffed animal to the library for story time, and then leave your stuffed friend at the library for anight of sleepover fun. Sleepover pictures will be provided at pick-up on July 11, as well as on Facebook. Please do not bring the stuffed friend you need in order to sleep.
