BPL Awarded Project Next Generation Grant Again

The Brimfield Public Library was awarded a 2018 Project Next Generation Grant from the Illinois State Library for the third year in a row. This year, students ages 10-18 have the opportunity to attend mentor-lead workshops, during which they will learn how to build and program robots and film and edit movies. With PNG grant funds, the library has purchased a variety of equipment, including LEGO Mindstorm kits and Adobe Creative Suite licenses. Students can learn more about upcoming workshops by visiting the library's Project Next Generation page, and can register for workshops by contacting the library: 309-446-9575 or khahn@brimfieldlibrary.org. All workshops are developed pursuant to a Library Services and Technology Act grant administered by the Illinois State Library using funds provided by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services.
