BPL Awarded Project Next Generation Grant Again

The Brimfield Public Library was awarded a 2019 Project Next Generation Grant from the Illinois State Library for the fourth year in a row. This year, students ages 10-18 have the opportunity to attend mentor-lead workshops, during which they will learn how to build and program robots, film and edit movies, design and print 3D objects, and operate a drone. With PNG grant funds, the library has purchased a variety of equipment, including 3D pens, new 3D printers, a drone, and Adobe Creative Suite licenses. Students can learn more about upcoming workshops by visiting the library's Project Next Generation page, and can register for workshops by contacting the library: 309-446-9575 or khahn@brimfieldlibrary.org. All workshops are developed pursuant to a Library Services and Technology Act grant administered by the Illinois State Library using funds provided by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services.
