The Mid
Illinois Talking Book Center
provides free library service to patrons with low vision,
blindness, or physical disability. Books and playback
equipment are provided free and books are mailed free to and from
wherever the patron resides. Visit

Live Green! The community recycling containers are in front of the Brimfield Village maintenance building, which is located on Knoxville Street (Rt. 150) across from Heinz Bros. car wash. You can drop-off paper such as cardboard (please break-down boxes to conserve space), magazines, telephone books, office paper (no construction paper), & junk mail, aluminum, steel tin cans, light steel such as coat hangers, bicycles, etc., #s1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 7 plastic (#s are inside the recycling triangle) including grocery bags and bubble wrap. Any items that contained food must be rinsed of any food waste. A more complete listing of accepted items is on the container. This service is co-mingled, so nothing has to be separated. Please stop-in the library and leave a donation as weekly pick-up costs $50.00/month for each container. Thanks to the Village of Brimfield for donating $50.00/mo. toward this service!
