BPL Takes Part in Illinois Veterans' History Project

The Brimfield Public Library is partnering with the Illinois State Library to film the remembrances of veterans and civilians who served our state and country during war, so that their contributions will not be forgotten.  Veterans interested in participating can come to the library between January and May 2017, pick up an Illinois Patriot Information Form, fill it out, and return the completed form to any library staff member.  They may then schedule a recording session with librarian, Katie Hahn.  Teens participating in the Project Next Generation: Tell Your Story At The Brimfield Public Library Initiative will assist with the interview and filming process. Recordings submitted to the Illinois Veterans' History Project will be placed in the Illinois Digital Archives.  For more information about the Illinois Veterans' History Project visit the official website, (please link to https://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/departments/library/public/veteransproject.html) or contact Katie: 309-446-9575 or kahahn@brimfieldlibrary.org. Participation in the Illiois Veterans' History Project and Project Next Generation is made possible by a Library Services and Technology Act grant administered by the Illinois State Library using funds provided by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services.
